Ukrainian
stock market dropped slightly on Monday. As a result of the trading session the
decrease was 1.13%, closing at 946.24 bps. Trading volume in the spot market
totaled 31.2 mln., the short-term - 40,7 mln.
Major
European benchmarks also ended the session in negative territory, showing a
record decline in the last month, on the news that the World Bank has lowered
the forecast for economic growth in the Asia-Pacific region, not including
Japan and India, referring to the slowdown in China's GDP. In addition,
investors were waiting for the outcome of a meeting of finance ministers of the
Eurozone in Luxembourg, during which it was planned to discuss issues related
to the debt problems of Greece and Spain.
The
regional indicator STXE 600 dropped 1%, closing at 271.43 points. Britain's
FTSE 100, France's CAC 40 and Germany's DAX lowered from its asset 0.50%, 1.46%
and 1.44% respectively.
Today, in
the absence of significant economic news the main driver for the overseas
market will be the expectation of concrete actions from ESM and the starting corporate
reporting season in the U.S. Tomorrow we expect the report of Alcoa, and JP
Morgan Chase will present the report for the last quarter on Friday. In
addition, this week in Tokyo will be a meeting of finance ministers and Central
Bank G7, which may also contribute to the news drivers.
