Ukrainian stocks listed in Kyiv were mixed on Monday (May 25) in an
inactive trading session, as the main bourses in New York and London were shut
for respective holidays in the US and the United Kingdom. The UX index retreated
by 0.5% to close at 1021 points. The gauge was weighed down by notable losses of
around 3.5% each in Avdyivka Coke (AVDK) and DonbasEnergo (DOEN); both companies
have direct exposure to the war in the east of the country. On the upside,
UkrNafta (UNAF) and Motor Sich (MSICH) climbed by 1.3% and 0.5% respectively.
Warsaw-listed Ukrainian stocks were broadly lower, with Astarta (AST) declining
by 0.9% to PLN 24.40 and Kernel (KER) falling 0.7% to PLN 36.75. Lugansk-based
crop grower Agroton (AGT) lost 1.9% to close at PLN 1.02.
