The net profit of the second worlds largest PC processor manufacturer Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) reached $61 million or $8 per share in the 2nd quarter. A year before its result was negative - $-43 million or $6 per share. Analysts expected profits of $7 per share.
The net profit of the worlds largest soft producer Microsoft in fiscal quarter increased by 30% to $5,87 billion or 69 cent per share in comparison with $4,52 billion or 52 cent the same period previous year. Company sales increased to $17,4 billion, though average forecast of Wall-Street was $17,2 billion.
