Number of trades exceeds 600

June 2, 2009 saw a number of records on the Ukrainian Exchange.  

Market participants executed a record number of trades – 629. The previous record of 506 trades was registered on May 13, 2009. This number is maximal for the last year on the organized securities market.

By the end of the main trading session the trading volume totalled UAH13,997,916.95 against UAH11,875,913.

The Index of Ukrainian shares calculated on the Ukrainian Exchange grew today by 1.42% and reached 1174.87 points.

The Ukrainian Exchange was established in May 2008 by the major players of the Ukrainian securities market.

The trading was opened on March 26, 2009, and from the very start the Ukrainian Exchange became an important pricing point for the local securities.

At this point over 70 liquid stocks and 17 bonds are available for trading on the Ukrainian Exchange. Over 250 trades are executed on the Ukrainian Exchange daily, representing in terms of volume a significant share of the regulated Ukrainian secondary market.
