Bloomberg starts to publish market data of the Ukrainian Exchange

As of September 1, 2009 market data of the Ukrainian Exchange and its equity index are available to subscribers of Bloomberg, one of the most prominent information agencies.

Cooperation with the leading information agencies became possible after RTS Stock Exchange and the Ukrainian Exchange signed an agreement on market data dissemination.

"Bloomberg is one of the main providers of financial information to the financial market participants, says Oleg Tkachenko, CEO of the Ukrainian Exchange. - Numerous subscribers of the major information agencies will shortly gain fast access to the information that will enable them to catch early the trends developing on the Ukrainian market within the current trading day as well as help institutional investors to make a more precise estimation of their investments".

Vladimir Grishchenko, head of Securities Trading of Troika Dialog Ukraine, supposes that the real-time market data distributed via Bloomberg agency can significantly raise investors’ interest to the developing Ukrainian market. "Now investors will be guided by information on liquidity and activity coming from both Ukrainian trading floors which will facilitate decision making for potential investors. Stock market cannot be evaluated adequately with investors’ access only to one trading platform. I am absolutely certain that equities quotes and the Ukrainian Exchange index in the Bloomberg terminals will trigger the growth of the national market".

Codes assigned to securities in the Bloomberg terminals are made up of the corresponding exchange codes and the identifier "UK", for example, ALMK UK.
